The Competitors
Judy is 14, and she plays on her city’s under-15 team. She can’t run very fast, but she can think quickly, and she always makes good decisions and she can get better. Right now she doesn’t always communicate well with other players on her team, and she gets stressed easily in difficult games. She’s working hard on these things.
Manolo has a natural talent. He can serve fast and he can move very quickly when he’s playing. But his game goes up and down. He usually plays very well, but there are days when he can’t concentrate and he plays badly. The problem is, he can’t practice every day. He also wants to be a doctor, so he studies a lot too.
