- Look at the timeline of Grandpa’s life. Complete the timeline with the words given.
Hannah: We are all today for Grandpa’s birthday, and I’d like to show you a
timeline of Grandpa’s life – from when he was born to today. So, in
the first picture, that’s Grandpa as a baby. He’s about a month old.
The next picture is Grandpa Jack as a child. He’s about 9 or 10.
Grandpa: Ten. That’s a school picture.
Hannah: Ok. Now Grandpa’s starting to grow up… he’s 16 in this third picture
– a teenager, like me. But look at those fancy clothes. We don’t have
many pictures of Grandpa as an adult. In this one he’s 22 – it’s his and
Grandma’s wedding day. Then in the fifth picture, he’s already
middle-aged. He’s 47 here.
Grandpa: Oh, there’s my favorite horse, Diamond. He was 25 years old when he
died. Great horse.
Hannah: And the last picture-well, this is Grandpa on vacation as a senior-he’s
67 here.
Grandpa: And getting little old.
Hannah: And now today he’s 70 years old.
Grandpa: Thank you. Hannah. Well, I’m 70 but I still feel young inside.
