Lesson 3 What’s for dinner?

Danny: Hi, Mom. I’m hungry. What’s for dinner?

Mom: I don’t know. We don’t have much food.

Danny: I’d like chicken with French fries.

Mom: Yes, I’d like that too. But, we don’t have any chicken or potatoes. There aren’t any chicken or potatoes. There aren’t many other things in the refrigerator. We have some tomatoes and a lot of salad.

Danny: How many tomatoes do we have? Do we have any pasta?

Mom: Yes, there are a lot of tomatoes, and there’s some spaghetti.

Danny: How about some spaghetti with tomato sauce and some salad? I can cook.

B: There’s a pizza on the menu.      

Speak

  1. Read the conversation. Find out their orders.

Mom: I want a pizza. But there aren’t many different pizzas. So I’d like some pasta with cheese sauce. But I don’t want much sauce, just a little.

Danny: I’d like a steak, but I don’t want any salad at all. I want some fries, a lot of fries; I’m really hungry. Is there any pineapple juice?

Mom: No, there isn’t. What about some grape juice?

Danny: Ok.
