Last month I went with my family to Puerto Rico. We flew by plane from Toronto to San Juan. The flight took six hours. It was very boring. At the airport we took a taxi and drove to the hotel. The hotel was ok, but It wasn’t fantastic.
The next day we walked around Old San Juan and went to the monument called El Morro. We did some sightseeing, and took millions of pictures. The weather was terrible. It rained all day, but I had a great time anyway.
For lunch I had a local dish called “mofongo” with meat and a lot of vegetables. It was very unusual, but I liked it. In the afternoon we walked through the Plaza Las Americas, which was big. It has 3,000 stores. I thought it was an amazing place, but I didn’t buy anything.
I think Puerto Rico is a very cool place to visit. I don’t speak Spanish, but most people understand English. I had a great time, and I’d like to go back someday.
