  1. Read and listen to Jan’s description of Secret Cinema.

    What kind of movie did she see?

Brett: What’s Secret Cinema?

Jan:   I can’t tell you much about it because it’s secret. You have to register on their website to receive information about each event, but you must not tell anyone else about it.

Brett: But basically you go to see a mystery movie in an unusual location, right.

Jan:   It doesn’t have to be a movie. It can be a concert too. And it’s more than just a movie. It’s a n event. You ought to try it.

Brett: Do you have to do anything strange?

Jan: The first time I went, I was a little nervous, but I shouldn’t have worried.

Brett: Why? What happened?

Jan:   We all have to wear special clothes and meet at the bus station. We couldn’t use our real names. Then we were taken to a huge warehouse that had been converted into a spaceship.

Brett: You should have taken me with you.

Jan:   I wasn’t allowed to. But you really ought to try it.

To enter the competition, you must be age 14 or over. Younger students can’t take part without the consent of a parent or guardian. Although it is not compulsory, students should work in teams.

To take part, each team has to record a video of themselves lip-dubbing a song. Although you don’t have to ask permission to use the song, you can’t enter  without including the name of the song’s composer. To increase your chances of winning. You ought to choose a song that is well-known.
